Abhishek Bachchan is asked if he could go back in time and break all public relations with Amitabh Bachchan, would he? here’s what he said

Actor Abhishek Bachchan has often spoken about the pressure of being the son of legendary actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. In fact, his sister Shweta recently said on a podcast that her ‘blood boils’ when she hears viewers ‘wrongly’ comparing Abhishek with her illustrious parents, especially with her father. And in a recent interview, Abhishek was asked if he wanted to hypothetically separate himself from his family, and relaunch himself in the film industry with a different name and a blank slate.

Baradwaj Rangan of Galta Plus asked him, “Would you like to put yourself in a time machine, go back, erase all public pictures of you and your father together, and enter the industry as Abhishek Sharma?” Without giving a second thought about it, Abhishek said that of course he would not.

He elaborated, “I would never do that, I never even felt the need to do that. The biggest pride for me is that I am my parents’ son. Professionally too. I look at the responsibility of being the son of a very different person from the perspective of the world… For me, I look at it as a responsibility to carry on the family legacy… I’ve never seen it as a burden or a burden Saw it. The albatross around my neck. I’ve seen it as a huge, huge privilege and honor, and I wake up every morning wanting to be of good service to it.”

Abhishek said he cannot control reporters who want to make comparisons, and declared that he wears his name ‘with pride’. He said, “If after 22 years you still feel the need to make comparisons, that is fair enough. My point of view is that you are comparing me with the best, so I am clearly doing something right.”

In a recent episode of What the Hell Navya Podcast hosted by Abhishek’s niece Navya Naveli Nanda, Shweta had said While she can tolerate trolling against her parents, she draws the line when people attack Abhishek. He said, “That’s the only thing that drives me crazy. it’s nasty. They attack her all the time, and it’s really annoying. This really makes my blood boil, and I don’t care what bothers you guys, but it really bothers me. I don’t like it when they do that to her, because you know what? This is not right. It really bothers me.”

Abhishek has appeared in several streaming releases over the years, and he said in the same interview that he is now gearing up to do a ‘Massie’ film again. He was recently seen in the second season of Prime Video Breathe: Into the Shadows,
