Bollywood players have come out in support of the Indian Army after Richa Chadha allegedly ‘mocked’ the Indian Army and the martyrs of the Galwan Valley incident. Akshay took to his Twitter handle to express his dismay towards Richa’s derogatory remarks. He tweeted, “Sad to see this. Never should we be ungrateful towards our armed forces. If they are there then we are today.” Richa’s post has put her on the radar again and she is getting backlash. However hours later he deleted the post and even apologized and clarified that his intentions were never to hurt sentiments.

Even filmmaker Ashok Pandit has filed a complaint against the actress at the Juhu police station. He demanded action against her and said that he could not understand at whose behest she was acting. In the complaint, the filmmaker said that Richa Chadha has deliberately insulted the army and the soldiers who were martyred in Galvan.
Ashok Pandit said, “As citizens it is our duty to file a complaint against those who make objectionable remarks against our security forces. The forces protect us and our country and making fun of them is a nation- Considered anti-national activity. The way the comments were made. And people have reacted to it, I felt it as my duty to file a complaint against her (Richa Chadha) at the local police station as a true nationalist. The police will pursue it and punish him as per law.
Netizens have also started demanding boycott of his upcoming film ‘Fukrey 3’. ‘Boycott Fukrey 3’ has started trending on Twitter. Richa’s since-deleted tweet read, “Galwan sej hi.” As soon as he tweeted this, netizens started pulling him up for allegedly insulting the army by talking about the 2020 clash between India and China. A user wrote, “Similar to the sacrifice of our soldiers in Galwan Valley. Shameful and shameful.” Another user shared, “Richa Chadha writes ‘Galwan sej hi’ in response to a commanding officer’s statement on PoK. Lives for India. Mocking Indian Army. The controversy started when Richa re-shared on her Twitter the statement of Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi which read “Galwan sej hi.” As the trolling and online abuse continued on social media, the actress decided to go private on Twitter. However, she once again made it public to share her apology.
