Akshay Kumar took to social media on Friday to express their excitement about a picture of an all-women batch training for the first time at the National Defense Academy (NDA) in Pune’s Khadakwasla. Akshay said he was ‘infatuated’ with her and took time out to share his wishes. The picture is doing the rounds on social media and with Akshay sharing it on the micro-blogging site, user engagement with it is on the rise. Akshay’s followers on Twitter also appreciated the batch of all women in NDA and wished them all the best.

Last year was the first time in India that women were allowed to take the NDA exam. After the final round, the first batch of 19 women cadets joined the training academy at Khadakwasla, Pune. In the viral photo, he is seen in a frame. All the cadets were in their uniform and were posing with the seniors of the academy. Captioning the picture, Akshay wrote, “This picture is fascinating! First batch of women cadets undergoing training at National Defense Academy Khadakwasla. Girls, more power to you! God bless you.”

Netizens react to viral image of all women batch in NDA

Like Akshay Kumar, social media users also praised the women cadets who were seen posing in the photo. A netizen wrote, “Jai Hind.” Another commented, “Proud moment (sic).”

It needs to be recalled that the Supreme Court in an order in August 2021 paved the way for the entry of women into the prestigious Military Training Academy. 77 lakh applications were received from women candidates for admission to the National Defense Academy (NDA).

In November 2021, 1.77 lakh women appeared in the NDA exam. The final list of selected candidates for this exam was published on June 14, 2022. The report added that out of the 19 women selected, ten will join the Army, six in the Air Force and three in the Navy.
