As per the recent media reports, Circus has earned only Rs 2-4 cr on Monday and its total collection now stands at Rs 22.85-24.85 cr with first weekend earning Rs 20.85 cr. The film’s poor performance has disappointed both the filmmakers and the audience. As per the trade reports, here is the day-wise collection of the film:

first day [1st Friday] Rs 6.25 crore

second day [1st Saturday} Rs 6.40 Cr

Day 3 [1st Sunday] Rs 8.20 crore

day 4 [1st Monday] Rs 2.40 crore (Early Estimates)

“Circus”, directed by Rohit Shetty and starring Ranveer Singh and Varun Sharma, is an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s “The Comedy of Errors”. Known for his action comedies and dramas, Shetty has expressed confidence that the film will be well received by the audience and said that he makes films with the intention of entertaining the audience. The film was released on 23 December.

Talking about the film, Rohit Shetty had earlier said in a statement, “‘Circus’ is for the audience who loved ‘Golmaal’ and ‘All the Best’. This is that kind of film. For everyone who loved those movies.” “I am sure they are going to like it because I have seen the film,” the 48-year-old director told reporters. Met the audience, it became his film. So now that I make films for them, I take it as a responsibility.”
