The film is a sequel to the 2015 crime thriller Drishyam, a Hindi remake of Mohan LalThe harsh Malayalam film of the same name. Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam is all set to release in theaters on 18th November. While the first installment of Drishyam was a sleeper hit, we are expecting the same for its sequel.

According to Box Office India, “Drishyam 2 has made good progress as it is likely to try to collect around 4.25-4.50 crore nett for its opening day total, to break into the top three for original content this year”. The national chain has moved ahead on the first day as well. Here the pre-sale advance sales have been boosted as tickets were available a few days before the actual advance opening and this will give the film a 10-12% boost in terms of advance sales in the national chains.”

Reportedly, Drishyam 2 is releasing across 3300 screens and the number may go up depending on the response to the advance bookings for this thriller. The makers have also announced 50% discount on the tickets on the day of release.
