Film director Esmail Shroff, best known for directing Thodisi Bewafai and Love 86, died at Kokilaben Ambani Hospital on Wednesday. Bombay After staying there for a month. The director was admitted to the hospital after suffering a heart attack and was recovering there.

actor like Govinda And Padmini Kolhapure paid tribute to the director. Govinda expressed grief over his demise and told ETimes, “He was the first person in my life who said that Govinda understood cinema. He played a big role in making me Govinda from Govinda.”
Padmini had worked with Shroff in films like Thodi Si Bewafai and Ahista Ahista. He also remembered the late filmmaker as he told ETimes that it was a huge loss to the film industry.
Esmail last directed Thoda Tum Badlo, Thoda Hum in 2004. Rajesh Khanna And Shabana Azmi – Thodisi Bewafai – which was very well received.
