
Gandhi Godse Ek War Trailer: We all know how Mahatma Gandhi was killed by Nathuram Godse but what if Gandhi survived? The trailer of ‘Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh’ revolves around this parallel theory. It also gives a glimpse of the tragic times after the Partition of India, when communal riots brought a flourishing country to its knees. The uncanny resemblance of the two main characters Nathuram Godse and Mahatma Gandhi is worth seeing.

Chinmay Mandlekar and Deepak Antani are seen playing the role of Nathuram Godse and Mahatma Gandhi respectively. The trailer depicts the clash between the beliefs and ideologies of the two lead characters. In the trailer, Gandhi narrowly escapes assassination and his desire to have a face-to-face conversation with Nathuram Godse takes the plot to a parallel universe. The roles of Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Patel and BR Ambedkar, the men who created history, have also been highlighted in a very apt manner.
Rajkummar, who has given us some blockbuster films like ‘Ghayal’, ‘Damini’, ‘Ghatak’ and the cult comic ‘Andaz Apna Apna’, is returning to the theaters after nine years with his directorial debut. His last directorial venture was Phata Poster Nikhla Hero in 2013. shahid kapoor and Ileana D’Cruz.
Anuj Saini and Rajkumar Santoshi’s daughter Tanisha made her acting debut with Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh. The trailer shows how Mahatma Gandhi, who always preached peace and non-violence, meets smiling even after being shot by an angry and vengeful Godse.
The film is set to hit the theaters on January 26 and will clash with Shahrukh Khan‘Pathan’, which will release a day earlier on January 25. Presented by Santoshi Productions LLP, the film’s music is composed by ace composer AR Rahman and the film is produced by Manila Santoshi.
