Golden Globes 2023: The 80th Golden Globe Awards ceremony will be live streamed in India on January 11 at 6:30 am IST. Red carpet coverage of the event, in which pan-India blockbuster ‘RRR’ will compete in the categories Best Picture – Non-English and Best Original Song – Motion Picture (for the Telugu song “Naatu Naatu”), will begin at 5:30 pm. Ahead of. Nominations for the 2023 Golden Globe Awards were announced on December 12, 2022. The awards, organized by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), honor the best in film and American television. This year’s nomination pool features 41 first-timers, including “RRR” composer MM Keeravani, Julia Garner (“Ozark”), Adam Scott (“Severance”), Aubrey Plaza (“The White Lotus”), Austin Butler (” Elvis”), Barry Keoghan (“The Banshees of Inishrin”), Selena Gomez (“Only Murders in the Building”), Zendaya (“Euphoria”), and Emma D’Arcy (“House of the Dragon”).

The Golden Globe Awards will stream on Lionsgate Play in India, Malaysia and the Philippines. Lionsgate Play subscribers in the country can watch the annual awards ceremony live from The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California on January 11 at 6:30PM ET. It will air on NBC.
RRR at Golden Awards
SS Rajamouli’s epic period drama earned a Golden Globe nomination for the Best Picture, Non-English Language, category and is up against serious competition: “All Quiet on the Western Front” (Germany), “Argentina, 1985” ( Argentina), “Close” (Belgium) and “Decision to Leave”, the South Korean romantic mystery that won its celebrated director, Park Chan-wook, the Best Director award at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. For “RRR”, this is its last shot at the Oscars, where it is being billed as a possible award-winner for Rajamouli in the Best Director category or for the film in the Best Foreign Film category.
The chart-topping “RRR” song, ‘Naatu Naatu’ (featuring Ram Charan and Jr NTR), is also in contention for the trophy in the Best Original Song, Motion Picture, category against Taylor Swift’s “Carolina”. “Where the Crawdads Sing”), from “Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio” to “Ciao Papa”, “Hold My Hand” (“Top Gun: Maverick”; Lady Gaga, Bloodpop), and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” Rihanna’s haunting anthem” – “Lift Me Up”.
