bold actress of bollywood Kangana Ranaut The new Twitter owners came out in support of Elon Musk’s decision to charge $8 a month to get verified accounts. Describing the social media platform as intellectually and ideologically motivated, he termed it as “the best” and said that those who have an Aadhaar card will have to get a verified blue tick. She took to Instagram Stories and wrote a long note in support of Musk’s decision.

“Twitter is the best social media platform that exists right now, it is intellectually/ideologically driven and not about looks or lifestyle, I could never understand the idea of validation that a select few get, like Others don’t have authentic existence, for example, I will get verified but if my father wants blue tick then 3-4 jokers will reject his identity as if he is leading some illegal life… The card is they have to be simple apart,” wrote Kangana on her Instagram.
The Dhaakad actor’s comments come after the controversial acquisition of Elon Musk recently, Ranaut’s Instagram stories has been sparking his fan requests to retrieve the suspended account of the actor. In May 2021, Kangana’s Twitter account was ‘permanently suspended’ for repeated violations of the Twitter Rules. The suspension came after the actress made an incendiary post, which claimed that the Mamata Banerjee-led All India Trinamool Congress’s victory in the West Bengal assembly elections had sparked violence.
“Paying a certain amount to maintain a Twitter account will only help to build its integrity, there is no free lunch in this world, have you ever thought about all these platforms that you can freely access? How do they maintain themselves? Just sell the data, they make you part of them, influence you and then sell you (your voice, consciousness) every single minute of the day, and so on. Platforms have no free will, so it’s not a bad idea to try to build a self-sustaining SM platform… it’s easy to tie up a bankrupt company, even if it intends to keep the high-value system sooner or later. Ho, that would have a price tag.”
Elon Musk recently confirmed the reports and announced that the company will be charging USD 8 per month for Twitter’s subscription service with priority in replies, mentions and searches. Twitter’s current lords and farmers system that has or doesn’t have a blue checkmark is rubbish. Power to the people! Blue for USD 8/month,” he tweeted.
