
Kantara Box Office Collection: Rishabh Shetty’s film is invincible! Kantara not only performed well in the home state but also impressed the audience in Hindi belt and abroad. Despite a low key entry, Kannada film ‘Kantara’ is one of the biggest success stories of Indian cinema in recent times. The film has completed 50 days and is still running on 1,000+ screens globally. The film has also completed 50 days in Australia, UK, Canada, UAE and USA. In India, the film is still being shown on 900+ screens. The Kannada starrer is enjoying a phenomenal run and is inching towards crossing Rs 400 crore nett at the box office.

The flick has emerged as one of the most profitable films of 2022 in terms of return on investment. According to reports, the film has done a business of Rs 370 crores worldwide so far. Also, trade reports suggested that the Hindi dub of the film is expected to earn Rs 100 crore soon. It recently touched the $3 million mark in the US.
Sharing their happiness on ‘Kantara’ completing 50 days at the box office, the makers took to their social media to share a thank you note for the masses’ support and love. “A moment of divine celebration for us. Amidst its phenomenal success, the Kannada film has also been in news for its OTT premiere. Fans are looking forward to the online release of Kantara. While the makers haven’t made any announcement yet, reports are that a date has been finalised. As per the trade tracking handle, Kanata will release on November 24 on Amazon Prime Video. The film will be available in all major South Indian languages. However, the streaming platform and makers are yet to confirm the same.

About Kantara
Made on a relatively low budget of around Rs 16 crore, the film revolving around obscure customs, traditions and local folklore is becoming a hit outside Karnataka as well. It registered the highest footfall numbers surpassing the figures of KGF series and became the third highest grosser of the year after ‘KGF Chapter 2’ and ‘RRR’.

‘Kantara’ was released in Kannada version and Hindi version on 30 September and 14 October respectively. The film is written and directed by Rishab Shetty. Produced by Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda under Humbel Films, the film also stars Saptami Gowda and Kishore Kumar in pivotal roles.
