Kantara Box Office Collection: Rishabh Shetty’s film is invincible! The Kannada starrer is enjoying a phenomenal run and is inching towards crossing Rs 400 crore nett at the box office. The flick has emerged as one of the most profitable films of 2022 in terms of return on investment. Kantara not only performed well in the home state but also impressed the audience in Hindi belt and abroad. According to reports, the film has done a business of Rs 370 crores worldwide so far. Also, trade reports suggested that the Hindi dub of the film is expected to earn Rs 100 crore soon.

Kantara box office report

Despite stiff competition from Bollywood and new films releasing every Friday, Kantara is doing exceptionally well. Due to positive buzz, the film was dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam and released in mid-October. Kantara Hindi has also left behind new Bollywood releases like Phone Bhoot, Ram Setu, Thank God, Mili, Double XL and Unchai. Amidst its phenomenal success, the Kannada film has also been in news for its OTT premiere. Fans are looking forward to the online release of Kantara. While the makers haven’t made any announcement yet, reports are that a date has been finalised. As per the trade tracking handle, Kanata will release on November 24 on Amazon Prime Video. The film will be available in all major South Indian languages. However, the streaming platform and makers are yet to confirm the same.

About Kantara

‘Kantara’ was released in Kannada version and Hindi version on 30 September and 14 October respectively. The film is written and directed by Rishab Shetty. Produced by Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda under Homebell Films, the film also stars Saptami Gowda and Kishore Kumar in pivotal roles.

‘Kantara’ is set in coastal Karnataka and deals with the politics of land and the issue of man versus nature. Set and shot in Keeradi, coastal Karnataka, the film stars Rishabh as a Kambala champion turned logger with Murali (Kishore), an upright DRFO officer. The film, which released on 30 September, is an action-thriller written and directed by Rishabh and produced by Vijay Kiragandur. According to IMDB, the film has a rating of 9.5/10. ‘KGF-2’ got 8.4 and ‘RRR’ got 8.0.
