
Kantara Box Office Collection: Rishabh Shetty’s Kannada blockbuster remains unbeatable at the ticket window. The film recently crossed the monumental figure of Rs 400 at the worldwide box office. Adding to this, Kantara became the third highest grosser of the year, leapfrogging Ponniyin Selvan: I and Brahmastra. As per the Ormax report, the Rishabh Shetty starrer is set to be a notable film. Running in cinema halls for almost two months, Kantara was released in the Kannada version and Hindi version on 30 September and 14 October, respectively.

Since its release, the film has been creating records at the box office with its huge collection figures. Be it in India or Internationally, Kantara continues to register a stupendous growth at the box office and now its total collection has crossed the 400 crore mark and is still counting. According to Ormax, “Despite releasing and crossing the Rs 100 crore mark in September, Kantara showed no signs of losing momentum in October as it collected Rs 242 crore taking the business to Rs 346 crore.”
If we look at the specific collection figures of Kantara in domestic and international markets, the film has grossed ₹168.50 crores in Karnataka, ₹60.00 crores in Andhra Pradesh/Telangana, ₹12.70 crores in Tamil Nadu, ₹19.20 crores in Kerala. 96.00 cr gross in North India and total amount in overseas is 44.50 cr gross. Similarly, the overall collection of Kantara has successfully crossed the 400 crore mark worldwide.
Amidst its phenomenal success, the Kannada film has also been in news for its OTT premiere. Fans are looking forward to the online release of Kantara. While the makers haven’t made any announcement yet, reports are that a date has been finalised. As per the trade tracking handle, Kanata will release on November 24 on Amazon Prime Video. The film will be available in all major South Indian languages. However, the streaming platform and makers are yet to confirm the same. About Kantara
Made on a relatively meager budget of around Rs 16 crore, the film revolving around obscure customs, traditions and local folklore is becoming a hit outside Karnataka as well. It registered the highest footfall numbers surpassing the figures of KGF series and went on to become the third highest grosser of the year after ‘KGF Chapter 2’ and ‘RRR’.
