Rishabh Shetty’s blockbuster Kannada film, ‘Kantara’ is breaking all records and seems unstoppable in garnering praise from the audience. India’s biggest superstar too Rajinikanth Can’t stop myself from praising the film. The megastar took to his Twitter handle to honor Rishabh’s work. Taking to his Twitter, Rajini sir praised Shetty’s acting, direction and writing skills and called his talent ‘hats off’. He further wrote, “The unknown is more than the known” No one could have said this better in cinema than @hombalefilms #KantaraMovie, you gave me @shetty_rishab. Rishabh salutes you as a writer, director and actor. Congratulations to the entire cast and crew of this masterpiece in Indian cinema”.

Rishabh Shetty himself was completely stunned and overwhelmed by receiving praise from the God of South Cinema. After becoming a regional success and taking the crown of the third highest-grossing Kannada film of all time, Kantara refused to slow down at the box office. It crossed the Rs 25 crore mark on the 12th day. Also, the Diwali holiday turned out to be a positive one for Shetty’s strictness. Good word of mouth has helped in the business of film in Hindi. The Hindi version of the film was released on October 14, and the Rishabh Shetty-starrer earned around Rs 1.27 crore on its opening day. The film did well on Diwali (24 October).
The film is the second highest grossing film after KGF 2 but in terms of footfalls, it has surpassed that film as it gets 77 lakh footfalls in Karnataka. Kantara will probably be the first film to hit 10 million footfall in Karnataka and will become the highest grossing film, surpassing the business of KGF 2.
