war of words between tv actors Charu Asopa and her estranged husband Rajeev Sen Day by day it is getting worse. After Rajiv alleged that she was having an affair with Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai co-actor Karan Mehra, she called the allegations baseless and accused Rajiv of maligning her character. Now Karan Mehra has also reacted to Rajiv’s allegations.
In a new interview with Siddharth Kannan, Karan said that he has no clue who Rajeev is. She also claimed that she has not been in touch with Charu for almost 10 years. He had recently met her for some work-related discussion, but he was not alone.
Karan said, ‘Suddenly your name is being dragged like this for someone else’s marriage... I am already engaged in solving my own thing.. This is something else that has come.., (I already stuck in solving my issues and now this new thing has come to the fore). It is quite disappointing that someone can drag someone’s name without any truth.”
The actor is currently involved in a bitter custody battle with his estranged wife Nisha Rawal. Nisha had recently accused Karan of domestic abuse and infidelity.
In the interview, Karan said that he and Charu were not even friends. They were just colleagues who worked together in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and that too for a short time. Charu played the role of an employee of Karan’s character in the Star Plus show.
Ever since Karan’s name has been dragged into the controversy between Charu and Rajiv, Charu has been apologizing to him. “I have been getting calls and messages from him. She is saying apologetically, ‘Sorry Karan, because of my personal thing, your name has been dragged into this.’ She is saying, ‘Maybe he (Rajeev) can’t see anyone else on my page, so he took your name.’ In a reel, we are clicking a photo with several others and Rajeev found it romantic,” said Karan.
Earlier, in an interview with indianexpress.comCharu had explained, “In my entire Instagram, there is just one video with the other guy. And as he claimed, it is not a romantic reel. This is a professional video, a collaboration for a program. Karan and I were invited there as celebrity guests. We just stand together, not even alone, in the midst of a rally of people. How can he call it romantic?”
Charu Asopa and Rajeev Sen got married in 2019 and announced their divorce a few months back. However, they gave the marriage another chance, only to separate again a few weeks ago. Amid allegations and rumours, they reunited earlier this week for their daughter’s first birthday.
