Katrina Kaif says her marriage with Vicky Kaushal had a big fight: ‘I heard a loud noise and turned around…’

Katrina Kaif had recently arrived on The Kapil Sharma Show to promote her film Police Bhoot. His co-stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter also joined him as he was grilled by Kapil. During the show, Katrina also opened up about a fight that took place at her wedding, and also shared the name of her pet in her ‘in-laws’.

Kapil wonders how Punjabis always pronounce names differently and even lovingly give pet names to children. He asked Katrina how she addressed her husband Vicky Kaushal at home. He replied with a smile, “Kittu”. Her response left everyone on ‘awww’.

Then he asked her that since she has seven sisters, she did Vicky They manage to save their shoes during the ‘Joota Chuppi’ ceremony at their wedding. Without stopping, the actor said that there was a really big fight in the marriage. “I could hear very loud voices behind me. As I turned, I saw everyone fighting and pulling their shoes towards them. My sisters and Vicky were friends. They were really fighting,” she said in Hindi.

As Archana Puran Singh asked him who won the battle, he replied, “Don’t know, I don’t know (I don’t know. I didn’t ask).” She said she was so busy with her wedding that she never got a chance to ask about it.”

Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal tied the knot in a dream function in December last year. The beautiful wedding had left their fans in awe of the couple. Talking about the same, Katrina told indianexpress.com That feelings for him were no different. “It felt exactly how you described it. It felt like the culmination of a beautiful journey, which was so unexpected for me. It just came out of nowhere. It really did.”

The actor also shared that he first discovered Vicky in the trailer of filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s 2018 romantic drama, Manmarziyaan, a tale of two confused lovers. Vicky, at that time, an acclaimed indie film actor—was transitioning into films like Masaan, Raman Raghav 2.0 as well as mainstream projects like Raazi, Lust Stories and Sanju.

When Katrina saw him, even in a short trailer, she was impressed by his talent. “I remember (producer) Aanand L Rai showed me the promo of Manmarziyaan and I was like, ‘Who is this guy?!’ At that point I just found… Wow! He was so easygoing and raw. He has that talent.”
