one yearafter being embroiled in controversyKim Seon-ho is slowly returning to the small screen. The Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha star is expected to return with the Shinryu drama of Hash. His agency commented on the JTBC report, saying, “Actor Kim Seon Ho has received an offer to star in the play ‘Hash Ke Shinru’ and is in positive talks.”
Hash’s Shinru is set in the backdrop of the days of King Sejong, also known as the Joseon Renaissance. The historical romance revolves around Crown Prince Li Hyang, a scientist, and He Ru, a mysterious woman who has the power to see the future. Writer Yun Yi Soo, who wrote the original novel of the same name, will pen the screenplay. Soo also wrote the award-winning show Love in the Moonlight, which starred Park Bo-gum and Kim Yoo-jung.
Kim Seon-ho will reportedly play King Sejong in Hash Ki Shinroo. After being accused of being emotionally abusive towards his ex-girlfriend and forcing her to have an abortion, the actor has kept a low profile since last year. The actor apologized, and was later dropped from several commercials and shows. On his birthday this year, he said, “I’m sorry that I went through a difficult time because of my shortcomings… Thank you for celebrating my birthday this year as well and thank you for sending me birthday wishes. The precious feelings you have given me.” I will remember him and I will be an actor who can repay your support and encouragement.” The actor also shot for the film The Tropics amid the brewing controversy.
