Kumail Nanjiani’s entry into miracle The universe starring Kingo was much hyped and though it didn’t live up to the promise, the actor believes that if he is paired with Iman Vellani’s Miss Marvel, they will look ‘fantastic on screen together’ .
Speaking to the Bingeworthy podcast, Kumail, who played a superhero disguised as a Bollywood star, said, “I would love to pair up with Ms. Marvel. i just love that show and i thought iman [Vellani] It was great, and I just got to meet her and hang out with her for the first time, and she’s such a talented actress and such an amazing person and I think we’ll be great on screen together. I would love to associate with Ms. Marvel.” Both Kumail and Iman are of Pakistani origin.
The 2021 film Eternal received harsh reviews from fans as well as critics. Directed by Oscar-winning director Chloe Zhao, Eternal has a 47 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which is pretty low for a Marvel film.
Iman Vellani played Miss Marvel in the Disney+ show that released earlier this year. Praised among South Asian audiences as well as global audiences, Ms. Marvel has a 97 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, making it one of the most popular Marvel properties released in recent years.
The future of Eternals is also very uncertain at this time. Kumail said he would love to come back but it looks like Marvel doesn’t plan to revive the franchise just yet. “I honestly don’t know anything. I would like Kingo to come back. I love playing that character… It’s so much fun playing that character, you’re just in a good mood. You finger guns, You’re like a movie star – what’s not love? You’re just in a good mood the whole time,” he said. “I would love to be back, but I really don’t know if or when,” he said.
Eternals was one of the biggest star vehicles of the MCU, with actors like Angelina JolieSalma Hayek, Gemma Chan, Richard Madden and Kit Harington, among others, but Marvel stayed away from announcing their return after the film turned out to be a disappointment.
