Neena Gupta, who has been in the film industry for the past four decades, said that during her struggling days she had visited the director’s office of Rajshree Productions several times for work.
“I was feeling lucky that Sooraj ji called me up and gave me a role in a very good script. My only aim was to give my best as I wanted to work with him for many years and now I have that opportunity. I like the movies he made.
“Rajshree Productions is really huge for me and when I was growing up I often tried to meet Sooraj ji but never got a chance. I finally got this film, it’s unbelievable,” the 63-year-old actor told PTI.
In the film, Neena Gupta plays the role of Shabina, a housewife whose life revolves around her husband and daughter. But in his personal life, the actor said that he finds it difficult to sit at home and focus only on family.
“Before marriage, I would work from morning till night, taking care of the child, my father (to take care of). I had to work for money then. After my marriage, I decided that I would stay at home, take care of Masaba, watch movies, go on vacation, etc.
“I did this for 10 years and was very sad. Everyone took me for granted. It was so boring. The thing that motivates me is work. I’m so happy when I’m working.”
