
Late Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar’s fans are celebrating as Bengaluru University has included a lesson in ‘Vanijya Kannada – 3’ textbook prescribed for B.Com students.
Third semester students will read a lesson on late superstar Punit. This lesson is a chapter taken from the book ‘Nene Rajakumara’ written by journalist Sharanu Hullur.
Late superstar’s wife Ashwini Puneet Rajkumar recently released the book of Nene Rajkumar. The book had record sales and was claimed to be the best-selling biography in the Kannada language.
Punit’s fans had demanded that his life story and philanthropic activities be included in school textbooks as he serves as an inspiration. Fans have applauded the Bengaluru University’s move and are on celebration mode.
Puneet Rajkumar always supported social causes and contributed generously to charities and foundations. He breathed his last on October 29, 2021. Puneet was looking after 26 orphanages, 16 old age homes and 19 gaushalas. She ran Shakti Dham, a shelter for homeless women and girls. He supported thousands of girl students.
All this came to light after his death and at the peak of Covid fears, the Kanteerava Indoor Stadium, where his body was kept, saw over 20 lakh people. Puneet’s family donated his eyes and then, the eye donation movement became a statewide movement as lakhs of people and his fans came forward to donate their eyes.
