to all the fans of Ranbir Kapoor And Sourav Ganguly, there is some good news as the much-awaited biopic is all set to go on floors. According to reports, the script of Ganguly’s biopic is almost complete and it is likely that Ranbir Kapoor will play his part in the film, though it is too early to say as the project is still in its initial stages. Though Ganguly didn’t confirm it, but according to sources, the production company is looking at Ranbir Kapoor, who is also the cricketer’s choice.
Sourav Ganguly has had an illustrious career spanning several decades. He is credited with being one of the most successful captains of the Indian cricket team. A few years back the former cricketer had shared with News18 that his biopic would be made and the deal has been sealed and now it has been confirmed that the script of the biopic is almost complete. Ganguly shared, “Yes, I have agreed for the biopic. It will be in Hindi but it is not possible to name the director right now. It will take a few more days to settle everything.”
Ganguly is currently in Mumbai and will be discussing a few things about the biopic with the team. He confirmed, “I will be in Mumbai for multiple assignments.” The former India captain and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said, “The script of the biopic is in discussion. I am writing the script myself. Screenplay will be discussed with Luv production house. For several months, the work of making the biopic could not progress much. Actually, due to the tight schedule of me and the production house, the work was not catching up. This time it will be done quickly.”
When asked who will play Ganguly in the film, he said, “No final decision has been taken. I hope we can share something positive after the meeting.” Talking about the release date, Ganguly said, “It’s not finalized yet. The script writing is almost done. Now the next work will start.” According to sources, this biopic is being made under a big banner production house, with a budget of around Rs 200 to 250 crores kept for the film.
