While January has proved to be a successful month for the film industry, February is more anticipated as there is a flurry of releases in the South film industry. From ‘Suvarna Sundari’ to ‘Michael’, there is a long list of films releasing next month. Southern films are garnering applause from the public and making a lot of noise. From Vijay Thalapathy’s ‘Varisu’ to Ajith Kumar’s ‘Thunivu’ and Chiranjeevi’s ‘Waltair Veeraiyya’, these films have set the box office on fire. The promotions of South films are on and here is the complete list of films releasing in February.
1. Shakuntalam
Shakuntalam is a romantic fantasy entertainer film directed by Gunasekhar. The film stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Dev Mohan in lead roles along with Allu Arha, Sachin Khedekar, Kabir Bedi, Dr M Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Madhubala, Gautami, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla, Jisshu Sengupta and many others. Has been seen in supporting role. The music was composed by Mani Sharma and produced by Neelima Guna under Guna Teamworks banner. The film will release on February 17, 2023.
2. Suvarna Sundari
Suvarna Sundari movie is a visual thriller directed by MSN Suryah and produced by ML Lakshmi under S Team Pictures banner while Sai Karthik composed the music for this movie. Poorna, Jayaprada, Sakshi Chowdhary, Ram and Indra are playing the lead roles along with Saikumar, Nagineedu, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Mukhtar Khan, Avinash are seen in supporting roles. The film is scheduled to release on February 3, 2023.
3. Amigos
Amigos is an action thriller film directed by Rajender Reddy. The film stars Nandamuri Kalyanram and Aashika Ranganath in lead roles. The music is composed by Ghibran while the cinematography is by Soundar Rajan S and edited by Tammiraju. The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner. The film will release on February 10, 2023.
4.Michael
Director Rajith Jayakodi’s ambitious project Michael stars Sandeep Kishan in the lead role, alongside Vikram fame Vijay Sethupathi and Divyansh Kaushik in key roles. The power packed trailer, coupled with high-octane stunts, has already grabbed the attention of many. Michael revolves around the lives of a couple whose lives are turned upside down when a ruthless underworld gang enters their blissful haven. The film will hit the theaters on February 3, 2023.
5. Run Baby Run
Written and directed by debutant Gian Krishnakumar, Run Baby Run promises to be a suspense-filled thriller judging by the trailer of the film. RJ Balaji and Aishwarya Rajesh have been cast as lead characters along with Isha Talwar, and Radhika Sarathkumar. The film will clash with Suravana Sundari, Michael on 3rd February 2023.
6. Sir
Sir is an action drama film directed by Venky Atluri. The film stars Dhanush, Samyuktha Menon, Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani and many more in lead roles. Music is given by GV Prakash Kumar. The film is produced by Naga Vamsi S and Sai Saujanya under the banner Sithara Entertainments – Fortune Four Cinemas. The film marks the very first Telugu film of Dhanush. It will hit the theaters on February 17, 2023.
7. Nanny 30
Nani 30 is an emotional drama film directed by Shouryav. The film stars Nani and Mrunal Thakur in lead roles along with baby Kiara Khanna. The music is composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab while the cinematography is by Shanoo John Varghese ISC and edited by Praveen Anthony. The film is produced by Mohan Cherukuri (CVM), Dr. Vijender Reddy Tegla and Murthy under the KS Vyara Entertainment banner. The film will release on February 20, 2023.
