Former BharatPe MD Ashneer Grover rose to prominence after appearing on Shark Tank India season 1 and quickly became a household name. His mannerisms and one-liners became very popular across the country. His dialogues, which included “Kya kar raha hai bhai tu?,” “Yeh kya doglapan hai,” and “Absolutely rubbish idea,” were well received by the crowd. While the show is returning for a new season, Grover will be missing from the coveted judging panel. Recently, the makers unveiled the promo of the new season. Fans were left disappointed when they got the news of her elimination from the show. Now Shark has spoken about his absence from the show.
Speaking to RedFM, where he was promoting his autobiography, Doglapan, Grover was asked if the show was not able to cast him for Shark Tank India season 2 because they could not afford him. He replied, “Afford only paise se nahi hota hai, aukat se hota hai.”
The businessman was also questioned whether he was ever invited to appear on Bigg Boss. He accepted it and said, “You’ll never see me on that show.” He explained his decision to never appear on the show, saying, “Unsuccessful people go to that show, successful people don’t. There was a time when I used to watch the show, but I think it’s gone stale now. They contacted. Me, I said sorry, not happening.”
Amit Jain has replaced Ashneer Grover in Shark Tank India 2. For the unversed, Amit Jain is the co-founder and CEO of Car Dekho, an online portal for selling and buying used cars.

This time the show features six sharks: Anupam Mittal (Founder and CEO of Shaadi.com – People Group), Aman Gupta (Co-Founder and CMO of boAt), Namita Thapar (Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals), Vinita Singh (Co- -Founder) Founder & CEO of SUGAR Cosmetics), Piyush Bansal (Founder & CEO of Lenskart.com) and Amit Jain (CEO & Co-Founder – CarDekho Group, InsuranceDekho.com). While the five sharks are from Season 1, the show is the newest addition after replacing Grover.
