Filmmaker SS Rajamouli couldn’t contain his excitement after meeting the God of blockbuster cinema – Steven Spielberg – director of RRR. Rajamouli, currently basking in the glory of the Golden Globe win of the song Naatu Naatu from RRR, recently met Spielberg along with composer MM Keeravani at an event in Los Angeles. He shared pictures of his exchange with the Hollywood legend on Twitter. Fans are reacting to the viral pictures of Rajamouli and Spielberg on social media.

SS Rajamouli calls Steven Spielberg ‘God’

“I just met God,” SS Rajamouli, also known for the blockbuster “Baahubali” movies, wrote in the caption. Both Rajamouli and Spielberg were seen having a conversation and the candid moment was caught on camera. In one of the pictures, Rajamouli looked surprised to see The Fablemans director. The party where Rajamouli and Spielberg met was hosted by Universal Pictures at Sunset Towers in California.

How did Steven Spielberg react to the song Natu Natu?

MM Keeravani, who won the Best Original Song – Motion Picture trophy at the 80th Golden Globe Awards for Natu Natu, also shared pictures with Spielberg. “Had the privilege of meeting the god of films and whispering into his ear that I love his films including ‘Duel’,” the veteran musician tweeted.

In a follow-up post, Keeravani said that he was taken aback when Spielberg told him that he liked Naatu Naatu picturized on Ram Charan and Jr. NTR, the two lead stars of RRR. “And I couldn’t believe it when he said he loved ‘Naatu Naatu’,” she tweeted.

Fans react to Rajamouli’s pic with Spielberg

Like Rajamouli, the director’s fans too flooded social media with excited reactions after viral pictures of the two filmmakers surfaced online. A social media user wrote, “A god in world cinema, an inspiration for generations, forever #StevenSpielberg. Feel your happiness Jakkanna. That’s an achievement in itself.” Another said, “So thrilled and nice to see this.”

Meanwhile, Rajamouli’s next directorial venture with Mahesh Babu is an action-adventure film. Many people on social media have pointed out that Rajamouli’s next film is inspired by Spielberg’s Indiana Jones franchise.
