Tollywood star and ‘RRR’ lead actor NTR Jr is in the global limelight after the film’s all-India triumph at the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards.
Now, in more good news for the talented actor (especially after the BAFTA snub for ‘RRR’), the website of influential US publication ‘USA Today’ has listed NTR Jr as one of the hottest contenders for the Best Actor Oscar. Listed in
The website predicts that NTR Jr’s performance as Komaram Bheem in ‘RRR’ will go unnoticed by the Academy when it gets down to vote for the shortlist.
Earlier NTR Jr was mentioned by ‘Variety’ among their unranked predictions for the 2023 Academy Awards, and now ‘USA Today’ predicts that the man of the moment will be among the nominees for Best Actor.
This is good news for the film and its producer SS Rajamouli, despite his recent statement that he makes films to make money and not just win awards.

On the work front, NTR Jr will start shooting for his upcoming 30th and yet untitled film, now simply known as NTR 30, directed by ‘Janata Garage’ fame Koratala Siva. The film will hit the theaters on April 5, 2024. The actor also has NTR31, which will be directed by ‘KGF’ director Prashant Neel.
