Tunisha Sharma death case: The actress’s co-star and alleged accused Sheezan Mohammed Khan was produced before the Vasai court by the Valiv police on Sunday. Sheejan was arrested after a case of abetment to suicide was registered under IPC section 306. Tunisha and Sheezan were co-stars in ‘Ali Baba: Dastan-e-Kabul’. Today, Sheejan’s sister and lawyer were seen at Waliw police station; However, he did not share any comment. Sheejan’s lawyer then said that “the allegations leveled against her are baseless”.
In the court, Sheezan’s lawyer Sharad Rai spoke to the media and said, “Whatever has happened, the police and the court are working. He (Sheezan Khan) has been produced in the court. The allegations against him are baseless.” Later, the court sent Sheezan to police custody for four days in connection with the alleged suicide of TV star Tunisha Sharma.
Tunisha was found dead on the sets of a TV serial on Saturday. According to Waliw police, they received information that the actress went to the toilet after tea break and when she did not return, the police broke open the door and found her hanging. No suicide note has been recovered by the police on the spot.
Police have said that the reason behind Tunisha’s alleged extreme step to end her life could be her break-up with Sheejan more than a fortnight ago.
The First Information Report or FIR in the matter has revealed that both the actors were in a relationship and their relationship broke up 15 days ago. Mumbai Police said Tunisha Sharma was reportedly under stress, and it is suspected that she overpowered her.
Another co-star of Tunisha, Parth Zutshi was also called by the police for questioning in connection with the alleged suicide on Sunday. He told the media, “I was called for questioning by the police and asked general questions. I cannot comment on his links, I have no idea, it was his internal matter.” Parth also said that even though Tunisha was under stress, she did not take any kind of drugs.
Tunisha’s body was brought to JJ Hospital Naigaon around 1:30 pm on Sunday, where her post-mortem was done. The post-mortem was done by 4:30 am and four to five policemen were also present, the officials said, adding that the body has been kept in cold storage. Police has said that it will investigate Tunisha’s death from both murder and suicide angles.
Tunisha, who made her acting debut in ‘Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap’, has also appeared in Bollywood films like ‘Fitoor’, ‘Baar Baar Dekho’, ‘Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh’ and ‘Dabangg 3’.
