Warisu Vs Thunivu Box Office Collection Day 2: The Tamil film industry witnessed a box office clash after two major releases fought for screens, business and audiences, with Thalapathy Vijay’s family entertainer Vaarisu (modest) ousting Ajith Kumar’s actioner Thunivu. Ajith and Vijay have a huge fan following and their latest release opened to an overwhelming response on the first day. However, with a major drop, as per early estimates, Varisu managed to earn Rs 16 crore across India with the Tamil version garnering mixed response from the audience. And Thunivu reportedly minted Rs 15 crore.

According to Box Office India, “Tamil films Thunivu and Varisu performed very well on opening day with similar collections, though the latter did not release in its dubbed format in Nizam/Andhra. The main market is Tamil Nadu and Thunivu has a comfortable opening day there.” Leadership. The film had an overall Tamil occupancy of 45.48%.

The much-awaited family entertainer, featuring Thalapathy Vijay in the titular role, is helmed by popular Telugu director Vamshi Paidipally. Also starring Rashmika Mandanna, the Vijay starrer has won millions of hearts. Warisu is the story of a man who is the son of a business tycoon. He was forced to take over his father’s empire under some unfavorable circumstances. The screenplay of the film is jointly written by directors Vamshi Paidipally, Hari and Ashish Solomon. Rashmika Mandanna appeared as the female lead opposite Vijay. Besides him, it also features a stellar supporting cast including R Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Khushboo, Srikanth, Shaam, Yogi Babu and Sangeeta Krish. Producer Dil Raju has backed the film under his banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. S Thaman has composed the music for the film.

In the action-packed Thunivu, Ajith’s look as the ‘boss man’ steals the show. He has taken people hostage in a bank. Police seems to be trying to ascertain his identity. But it is a mystery that slowly opens up. The action-packed film features Ajith sporting a white beard and white hair. Ajith Kumar plays a slightly negative character in the action thriller, and he impressed the fans with it.
Malayalam cinema star, Manju Warrier, plays the female lead, while Samuthirakani, John Kokken, Veeran, Ajay and GM Sundar appear in pivotal roles. Ghibran scored music for Ajith in Thunivu for the first time, while the cinematography is handled by Nirav Shah.
