Ved Box Office Collection Day 10: Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza’s Marathi film is doing wonders at the ticket window. A week after its release, the film has maintained the momentum and is in fact doing better than its opening weekend. The positive buzz is working in favor of the film and clearly, fans are looking forward to see the real-life celebrity couple’s lovely chemistry on screen.

Ritesh’s directorial debut and Genelia’s first Marathi film has successfully managed to win over the audience. As per the initial trade reports, Ved has managed to earn Rs 6 crore on its 10th day of release. The total collection of the film is more than Rs 30 crore.
Film trade analyst, Taran Adarsh shared on Twitter, “#Marathi film #Ved continues its phenomenal run…posts its highest ever *ONE DAY TOTAL* on 9th day…in fact, jumps over [second] sat is simply extraordinary [growth: 79.76%], [Week 2] Venus 2.52 crores, Saturn 4.53 crores. Gross: ₹ 27.72 Cr… On its way to becoming a blockbuster.”

Ved has more than one reason for fans to throng the cinema halls. It not only features the impeccable chemistry between Riteish and Genelia but also features in a special guest appearance Salman Khan, The Bollywood superstar shot for a song in Ved.
The film is also Genelia’s first Marathi film. In December last year, Genelia had revealed that she is making her Marathi debut with Ved. While sharing a video, the actress wrote, ‘It has been a privilege to be a part of films in so many languages and to get love and respect from all. Being born in Maharashtra, my heart yearned to do a film in Marathi for years. Hopefully there will be a script where I can say that’s all and then this happened – my first Marathi film, I came back to acting after 10 years and being a part of a dream where my husband Riteish Deshmukh is directing for the first time And I got a chance to share the space with a beautiful co-actor Jia Shankar, introduced under our production house MFC.
